Recognising Asia’s Next Gen Interior Designer
40 Under 40 is an annual award that recognises an emerging generation of designers – young, talented, and Asia-based – at the forefront of the interior architecture and design scene. The award spotlights design talents, honouring young powerhouse interior designers who are setting the benchmark for design in the region, and possibly beyond.
Initiated to uncover tomorrow’s design leaders, 40 Under 40 ambitions to propel promising interior designers to further global acclaim and accelerate the growth of Asia’s design landscape.
Professional achievements
They are interior designers who display design excellence. Nominees will be evaluated based on the creativity and innovation of submitted work. Only completed projects may be entered. Eligible projects may include residential, commercial, institutional, exhibition etc.
They can also be academia who influence design pedagogy and practice within the industry, or educators who support and nurture the next generation of designers and/or promote a more inclusive design culture through teachings or curriculum development.
Contributions to the industry and society
Outside of work, they contribute towards elevating industry standards and/or image in their cities, or impact society through efforts to help communities and raise quality of life. Nominees will be evaluated based on their social engagements and contributions to positively impact the industry, practice, and wider community.
