The Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated APSDA Awards 2025 and the official launch of the Asia Pacific Interior Designers’ Accreditation Program (AP-ID-AP), set to take place at the Manila Interior Design Summit (MIDS) 2024 organised by the Philippines Institute of Interior Designers (PIID). The event will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 5 p.m. (GMT +8) at The Playground, Bench Tower, Manila, Philippines.

The AP-ID-AP is one of the most important initiatives for the Interior Design fraternity in the Asia Pacific region. This is a collaborative effort by 14 national-level interior design associations that are full members within APSDA. With a shared commitment to elevate the competency level of the Interior Design professionals in the region, AP-ID-AP aims to establish a comprehensive, standardized framework for accrediting, evaluating, and continuously improving the interior design profession.

  • Valid Membership Certificate of the applicant’s respective economy’s associations
  • Valid Legislation or Accreditation Certificate of the applicant’s respective economy

The application for Group B (APSDA Member Economies without a Common Assessment Scheme) will commence on July 20, 2024. Requirements for Group B applicants include:

Alongside the AP-ID-AP, APSDA Awards 2025, commencing in January 2025, will serve as a biennial design award to honour elite personalities and celebrate the finest projects of the interior design profession in Asia and the Asia Pacific regions. This prestigious event is a significant milestone for interior architects and interior designers, promoting excellence by providing an opportunity for international recognition and showcasing their exceptional work. The objectives of the APSDA Awards are:

  • To recognize and honour the most outstanding interior architects and interior designers in the Asia-Pacific.
  • To highlight the best-designed spaces in the region.
  • To promote high professional standards within the interior design industry.

In the upcoming APSDA Awards, alongside existing categories such as ‘Project of the Year’ and ‘Personality of the Year’, new categories and updated judging criteria will be introduced. The sub-category under ‘Project of the Year’ – Residential has been further categorized based on size, distinguishing between different scales.
