Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) Unveils Council Members for 2020-2022

The Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) has announced the Council Members for 2020 to 2022.

The Council Members for the new term are as follow:

The newly elected MIID President, IDr Lai Siew Hong commented, “It’s an enormous task being entrusted to be the President of MIID. This is because I have to steer the Interior Design profession to achieve greatness in design. But I believe I have a tremendous team to help me strive for the goal for the betterment of the profession and industry.”

For this term, MIID shall emphasise on the roll-out of the institution’s core activities including membership, education and professional development. The Council Members will be discussing on developing a Professional Practice Competency Programme for MIID Corporate Members and improving MIID’s annual programmes with new design benchmarks. On the education front, MIID will continue to enhance and align their education programmes through varsity dialogues. Council Members will also increase their effort in enrolling more Graduate Members to qualify them to become Corporate Members of the institute.

IDr Lai Siew Hong continued, “Thank you for your trust in me. I call on all interior designers and industry partners to work together to bring interior design to unchartered territories.”
