The Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) is hosting RiX as a channel for the interior design community as a part of REKA Design Week. For the fourth consecutive year, RiX, Malaysia’s most fascinating exhibition that exemplifies the purity of design, returns to the country to provide a truly exceptional experience in a typically crowded market with action-packed events like conferences and forums, industry talks and updates, discussions, networking opportunities, and workshops for the design community.
Through the event, over 3,600 interior designers and over 1,400 industry buyers, traders, dealers, and trade visitors—including upper management tiers and professionals from the interior design fraternity—who are highly sought-after key decision influencers and prominent delegates—will be connected. The opportunity to showcase their abilities as highly innovative suppliers of complex solutions to a specific, niche audience that includes well-known figures in interior design and architecture will be given to participating businesses.
Meet-and-greet, Face-to-face Encounters
Following two years of an unprecedented pandemic, RiX offers a forum for inspiration and exchange while displaying the most recent goods and inventions from participating local and international exhibitors. Visitors may now interact with and see items in real time, celebrating design as it fuses the best of creative thinking, technology, and exploratory design thinking into a melting pot of inspiration and discovery that will enthral all stakeholders.
Rise & Reclaim
RiX 2022 marks the 4th edition that demonstrates the pivot of Rise and Reclaim post-pandemic, as well as the advancing of the industry’s design awareness for the betterment of life. Transformation is unavoidable, especially when it comes to physical trade exhibitions after the pandemic. RiX therefore serves the purpose of the assembly of curated expressions of design possibilities by Designers for Designers.

With a good industry and visitor statistic back in 2019, comprising more than half of the visitor profile of trade visitors, the exchange of ideas and the realisation of solutions come naturally as industry contacts converge on a friendly and comfortable annual platform under one roof. Curated pavilion designs highlight the talents of designers who, through their excellent work, push the boundaries of conventional aesthetics. Here, novel applications for the products and materials of exhibitors are created, produced, tested, and displayed. The resulting installations, which successfully combine form and purpose, are works of art in and of themselves that are incredibly breathtaking to view. Visitors and exhibitors are encouraged to be inspired by the interactive display, which aims to demonstrate the creative vitality of our brave new world of design.
