Second Edition of Perth Design Week Kicks Off in March

Perth Design Week 2024 is set to launch its online program on February 15, 2024. This year’s event promises an exciting lineup of activities, taking place from March 14 to March 21, 2024, at various venues throughout the city. Organised by architect Sandy Anghie and designer David Smith, the event promises to be an exploration of various facets of design.

With over 80 events, Perth Design Week 2024 features exhibitions, films, talks, and experiences. While this year’s design week casts a spotlight on local designs, a key highlight is a collaboration with OMA and Unifor, resulting in a bespoke installation titled “Principles Square” at Cathedral Square. This collaboration signifies a dynamic partnership between local and global design influences in the heart of Perth.

A myraid of other events will take place to showcase various facets of design in the city pf Perth during this week. For instance, the City of Vincent will present “Mainstreaming Environmentally Sustainable Design in WA”. At Central Park Perth, the Curtin University School of Design and the Built Environment will be exhibiting recent student and graduate work. Presented by Interia, an open plan office workstation will be showcased to highlight the latest trends and innovations in workplace design, fostering collaboration, productivity, and employee well-being. In a whole day marathon of presentations of their work, Perth’s award winning architects will delve into the topic of sustainable home design – this is one part of an home inspiration series that will be taking place.
