VMARK Vietnam Design Week 2022 Successfully Held

VMARK Vietnam Design Week 2022, organised by the VDAS Design Association HCMC, was held with great success at the most opulent conference venue, the GEM Centre.

On 30 September, the VMARK Vietnam Design Award 2022 achieved its goal of recognising 40 exceptional interior design, architecture, and lifestyle projects each year from both local and international designers. 

Leading brands including LMP Design, Aura, Dulux, Samsung Household, LG, Okamura, Galaxy ID, Hafele, Faifo, Square Roots, Habits Design, Fedrigoni, Hoang Nam Group, and many more have sponsored the 2-day event series of VMARK Vietnam Design Week 2022. MCV Entertainment và Netbiz, LUXUO, VOH, Doanh Nhân Plus, Doanh Nhân Sài Gn, Pose.vn, and Lok’s Media provided media coverage for the event. The support was vital for VDAS to create many exciting activities, connections between large domestic and foreign enterprises, as well as honour the best design projects of the year.

The event welcomed the attendance of nearly 2,000 guests including designers, architects, project developers, enterprises’ representatives, realtors, deans/deputies of reputable universities design faculty. The event was also very honoured to welcome the Consulates of Italy and Brazil, along with Representatives from many international Chambers of Commerce: ICHAM (Italy), EUROCHAM (Europe), CCIFV (France), CCIPV (Portugal), ITA (Italian Trade Agency) to visit and share the joy with the national and international Design Community.

VMARK Design Exhibition effectively introduced close to 50 high-end furniture and lifestyle businesses as part of the VMARK Vietnam Design Week 2022 accomplishments. Additionally, 200 university instructors and students from the Design & Architecture department, as well as more than 600 high-class guests, attended the International Design Summit and three Interior Design Forums. Above all, the VMARK Design Award 2022 has been a huge success in awarding more than 40 ground-breaking and exceptional design projects/projects of the year, which has inspired many people to spread the word about Vietnamese design in other parts of the world.

On the gala night that concluded the biggest design event of the year, Ho Tan Duong, President of VDAS, spoke on behalf of VDAS Design Association HCMC-Head of the Organising Committee for VMARK Vietnam Design Week 2022. 

He said, “Step by step, we contribute to the formation of Vietnam’s own design identity with the hope that Vietnamese design is recognised and developed sustainably in line with the development momentum around the world. The VMARK award honoured at the gala tonight is a guarantee of the quality for excellent design projects that win awards every year through the evaluation of prestigious professionals from international design associations. The Vietnam Design Week VMARK is an activity that the association has devoted a lot of effort to building and developing over the past 3 years, and is one of the biggest events over the years for the Vietnamese design community.”

VMARK Vietnam Design Week 2022 has successfully accomplished its annual goal of creating a perfect platform for the Vietnamese Design community to connect, exchange knowledge, cooperate with each other globally, and, furthermore, nurture a sustainable lifestyle to deeply convey this year’s theme – “Design for Life”. This significant occasion serves to highlight the VDAS Design Association HCMC’s excellent growth achievement in putting together a top-notch calendar of annual events and activities that connects the design community.
