Pantone, a global-leading colour institute, has revealed the colour of the year 2022. Very Peri (PANTONE 17-3938) is a periwinkle blue hue which combines the faithfulness of blue and excitement of red.
The reason behind Very Peri as the chosen colour of the year 2022 is the notion of transition. Pantone has noted that the living standards and notions have changed after a period of isolation, and the physical and digital world has merged miraculously. The rise of digital space can bring unlimited possibilities in trends, metaverse, and design scenes, which Pantone hopes this colour could bring in more new ideas.
