Annika Fernando is an interior designer and runs practice Annika Fernando Design specializing in residential interior design and select hospitality projects; owner and curator of fashion concept store PR, designer for her label Maus and Director of her family design business Paradise Road group of companies in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Annika studied interior design at RMIT, Australia, and during her career spanning 20 years also worked at boutique interior design firm Hare & Klein in Sydney, Australia in early 2000s. In 2013, Annika opened PR, a fashion concept store in Colombo which is renowned for it’s curation and mentoring of strong Sri Lankan labels and a selection of Indian fashion labels. PR prides itself on sharing the strength and unique style of Sri Lankan design through international pop-ups, a strongly curated social media feed and via it’s features in renowned publications. Annika designs her own range of clothing under the label Maus which encompasses ladieswear, an organic line of clothing, swimwear, footwear, bags, accessories and limited menswear. Annika is the eldest daughter of Shanth Fernando, chairman of Paradise Road. Paradise Road was established in 1987 in Sri Lanka and consists of design retail stores, an art gallery, hotels and restaurants.
