Modern Meets Classy in Malaysia’s Landed Home

October 21, 2021

This put-together habitat, designed with great intent by Malaysian interior designer Lara Cheang conveys elegance and exquisiteness all at once. Doused in a subdued palette, the interior interchanges black and white, skilfully blending nuances of gilded gold to enliven the overall composition. Fluctuating between modern and classy, this home accumulates all-important details to set the space apart. In the living area, a floor-to-ceiling partition boasting reflective surfaces and marble veins adds instant height and finesse.  The dining area, anchored by a formal set-up against a wooden-panelled feature wall reads tailored without appearing pretentious or excessive.

Ideal for entertaining, an open concept kitchen featuring a generous kitchen island contributes to the flow of light and space. The pairing of white and grey also delivers, creating a design that is fresh and welcoming. This evocative look is complete with a string of modern pendants, lined conspicuously.

In the master bedroom, modern aesthetics take precedence, rooted in a light and undisturbed palette to conjure calm and an understated appeal. Here, delicate neutral hues are accompanied with clean-lined designs to create a polished interior wrapped in subtle styling. Elegant laid and stylistically adorned, this home emphasises on style and substance to cater to the discerning.
