Huangman Ming Villa Sales Center in Zhejiang

April 21, 2025

Drawing from Huangyan’s historical culture, WJ STUDIO reinterprets classic design principles to create contemporary interior spaces for the Huangman Ming Villa sales center and model room, located in Zhejiang, China, that honour tradition. At its core, the design embraces refined simplicity. Natural wood finishes and smooth marble surfaces exude understated elegance.

The spacious hall and linear balcony evoke the fluid lines of a traditional scroll painting, where landscapes and delicate floral motifs subtly inform the furniture and decor. In the living area, a softly curved sofa paired with a uniquely shaped coffee table and rounded chairs creates a warm, cohesive seating arrangement. This group is thoughtfully enhanced by a curated selection of artworks, floor lamps, and sculptures that infuse creativity into daily life.

The study opens into the living room via a brass-framed glass partition that delicately balances privacy and openness. Custom-crafted bookshelves and a striking red desk add refined touches, deepening the space’s artistic character. In the kitchen, vintage emerald-green ceramic tiles provide a rich backdrop, while the dining area is highlighted by modern black collage artworks and white pendant lighting that showcase a deliberate play of color and form.

At the tea ceremony corner, streamlined teak surfaces anchor metallic frame chairs – a temporal dialogue where Zen philosophy meets Bauhaus pragmatism. In the master suite, a well-positioned walk-in closet defines the entry, and a balcony with a dedicated green space invites a closer connection with nature. Rooms designed for elders and children reflect the overall theme through distinct plant-inspired textures and contrasting accents. Each space is carefully tailored to cultivate its unique character while contributing to a harmonious, refined interior ambiance.
